Me: You mean Chinese people have small eyes? No ones eyes change, but Chinese people sometimes have smaller eyes, or if their mom or dad or grandparents are Chinese they might have small eyes too
Lucia: oh....
Me: like Spanish people have darker skin. Who do you know that is Spanish that has dark skin?
Lucia: Grandma Helen Hardison.
Me: yes.
Lucia: mommy, Grandma Helen is Chinese too because she has small eyes .
