Me: Lucia, if you eat one more carrot, you will make me very happy.
Lucia: but mommy, I already ate one carrot and it made me very happy so I'm done now.

I had already gotten the twins out of the bath and dressed and they went running into the playroom.
I scooped Lucia up into her pink and grey dotted towel and cradled her like a baby.
Me: you know I love you so much, don't you?
Lucia: Yeeeeesssssss, I know.
Me: you're my baby girl.
L: I'm not a baby! I'm Lucia Marcella Hardison.
Me: you are. But you're also my baby girl. You always will be because you were my first baby. You are my special gift.
L: I'm not a gift!
Me: yes, you are my special present that God gave me. Jesus put you inside my tummy and after you grew and grew into a perfect baby, you were born. And you were a very very special gift to me and daddy!
I carried her into her room and before setting her down on her bed she said:
L: mommy, I want Jesus to come to our house.
Me: well baby, Jesus is always at our house. We can't see him with our eyes, only our hearts, but He is always here watching over us and taking care of us.
L: I know, but sometimes I just want him to come to our house to play with me.
